You can't see her, but Big wee one is squished between Daddy and Little wee one. She was nervous about going down the slide, but I really think it was the crowd of people standing around that really made her nervous. Little wee one had no problem hitting the slide by herself...being the kids of the coordinator, they don't get to enjoy the fun like everyone else, so we hit the slide and checked out the ice today. Daddy's lax team helped man the slide and pick up trash during IceFest 2010...great team work by everyone!

Day 30: HOT, HOT, HOT!
This committee is so amazing! We all work so well together and we have such a good time! This year's chili cook-off was held under a huge tent, with live music and lots of enthusiastic chili cookers. We even had a large turn-out for the hot pepper eating contest! Fourteen entries and only one could eat all 6 (well....5 and 3/4's) peppers.
Day 29: Throne
Day 28: Ribbon Cutting
Day 27: Ice is flying!

Day 26: Speaking
My dad was approached by a women's group to come speak about his winery. He asked if I would do it for him and I said, "Sure!" If you know me, you know that I have no problems being in front of people. At all. This particular evening was wonderful! Women networking with women, drinking wine, listening to me (try to) be funny, eating chocolate...a nice night and I'll be sure to go again!
Day 25: Hugs

Day 24: By herself.
Big wee one: "Can I write Santa a letter and let him know that I took a shower all by myself?"
Mommy: "Sure can!"
BWO: "Can I do this every morning?" (as in take a shower by herself every morning).
Since Big wee one didn't want to take a bath tonight, I told her she had to take a shower then, by herself, which means she'd have to wash her own hair and wash her own body. She did it. I checked in on her and told her if she still had soap in her hair, but she did the rest. She even got out of the shower and put her own pj's on and brushed her hair and teeth! Why can't everything go this smoothly??
Everyday is another step to becoming an even bigger girl. *sigh*
Day 23: Ears
On a whim while shopping for a new hat, boots and pj's (which of course I didn't find a new hat or new boots), Little wee one decided she wanted to get her ears pierced. She did an awesome job sitting still for the ladies! Who also commented on how tiny hear earlobes where about 1000 times! What a big girl :)
Day 22: Sing it!
picture taken from google images...we took a couple of pictures out, but not on my camera and they didn't turn out so hot anyway :)
Date night! We headed out to dinner to EJ's with some friends, had a good dinner and then enjoyed karoake! The girls even sang "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus...good times!

Day 18: Cook Books
These are some of my cookbooks. Tonight, I used the very top one to make some delicious sandwiches! The one underneath it, is one of my favorites because 1) my brother gave it to me...empty 2) i have been (slowly) filling it with my favorite recipes from magazines, books, the internet...it's a great book :) I love cooking, and I loved that everyone ate dinner tonight without an argument!!!

Day 17: Sunday
Sunday means laundry. It means donuts and coffee in the morning with a browse through the local paper. It means cleaning up around the house and not getting out of our pj's. Sunday means vegging on the couch watching football and digi scrapping. Sunday means taking a nap wherever you are laying and eating snack foods through out the day.
Sunday is veg day and that is exactly what we did today.

Day 15: Girl's Night
Day 14: 9:30 pm
picture taken from searching yahoo for "9:30pm clock"; unfortunately I did not get a picture of a clock myself
The last couple of night I haven't gotten home until 9:30 pm or so. Two late night meetings (plus dinner) means I've missed time with the wee ones and the hubs at home. I'll make it up to the girls with a "girly night".

Day 13: Mixer
Oh what a busy day yesterday was!
I am honored to have been selected as a student for the 2010 graduating class of Leadership Franklin County. This group is compiled of other members of the community that are either leaders now in their work place, or have the potential to be leaders...and I should say not only in their work place, but in the community. We have a session once a month where we learn all kinds of valuable information that will in the end, help us to become better leaders. Yesterday's session covered diversity (GREAT, GREAT session!!), and politics. Both very interesting and informative.
Following the session the current class had a mixer with alumni and faculty members of the program. It was nice :) I believe in this picture, we are probably laughing about stories of skiing and snowboarding.
After the mixer, I had another meeting to attend, so it ended up being a long day, but a good one.

Day 11: Then and Now
My little chubs, so sweet and mushy at 6 months old and now so big and bright eyed at 5 years old. Can someone please tell me where the last 4.5 years went? Anyone? Because I feel like it was just yesterday that I was laying in Bryn Mawr Hospital, with my tiny little bundle wrapped up in my arms, high on the thrill of just having my first baby, exhausted from being awake for over 24 hours. I love every piece of this fiesty girl! Happy 5th birthday Big wee one!

Day 10: Beignets

Day 9: Make a Wish!
She has been so excited about her birthday for a long time! I think she's been asking about it for about 6 months and since today was the day she was beyond excited!! She was nervous eating breakfast and had butterflies and was super thrilled when she saw her cake for the first time yesterday. Her party was a success, and now I'm exhausted, but it was all worth it...my baby is 5! Wow!

Day 8: Home.
After losing his luggage twice, dealing with freezing cold weather, snowy roads, frozen planes and (of course) missing his ladies...Paul is home. Heading to Wisconsin in the butt of winter equals all of that fun, but having him home equals happiness for all of girls :) We are thrilled he'll be home for Big wee one's birthday and I like having him on the floor in front of me wrapping birthday gifts and watching Elvis. Daddy's home :)

Day 7: Clean Up, Clean Up!
The girls and I know that Daddy doesn't dig a messy room...I mean, really who does? But when he's away it gets a little out of control. The girls are insane, I'll help them clean the room before bed and the next morning before I wake up the room will be destroyed again. So here you go Daddy, I can't promise it will be clean at 7:30 am tomorrow, but when you get home at midnight it will be :) We tried...and we are very excited for you to come home!

Day 6: Embrace
After Dance Party 2010 in our living room the girls embraced in a loving hug. Seriously, that Big wee one has some serious moves! You can check them out here.

Day 4: Grub
When the husbands away the wife will...
head to her mom's house for dinner.
Thanks to Uncle Jay's delicious beef stew, which both girls actually ate, followed by some left over birthday cake (Mimi is a New Year's baby), our bellies were full and the girls were wound up! We headed home, watched a little Miley Cyrus and then crashed.

Day 3: Book
Day 2: Snowboarding...oiy!
Snowboarding looks easy. No sweat! Paul and I jumped on the lift, headed up to the top, got off, buckled in our boards...and he set off. I then spent the next exhausting half hour trying to get down! I didn't take to it very quickly, or at all for that matter. I slid, slipped, wobbled my way over to snowboarding lessons while Paul took every other trail down, except for the double black diamond monster trail. With the wind blowing about 50 mph, I still didn't learn much during the lesson, and then fell on my knee and busted it up :( I won't give up...I'll try again. I'm just glad Paul loved it so much after so many years.
