Playing Catch Up (again)

March 21st - 25th
Day 80: Happy Birthday

The girls and I spent the morning shopping and the afternoon playing with friends and celebrating a special 3rd birthday :)

Day 81: BOO

Some evenings are spent looking at each other from over the screen or magazine. That's how it goes when you are building your business :)

Day 82: Matchy Matchy

She may not play the "right" way to play memory, but she does love to find all the matches! She's building some much needed brain skills there folks :)

Day 83: Lost & Found

After being missed for a little over a month my engagement ring showed it's pretty face in the bottom of the washing machine...now if I could only find his best friend, wedding ring!

Day 84: Awards
My Dad and Tuscarora Mt. Winery, was awarded a revitilization award for his efforts in turning the old store into the fab wine shop it is today :) We are all so proud of him and he was beaming this morning! Way to go Dad!

More to come...

March 13th - 20th

Ok, here we go...playing a little catch up :)

Day 72: Date Night
We try to make it a point to spend some quality time together, not only by ourselves, but with our friends...we also like to spend quality time with the girls. This evening, we spend the night with our great friends and Paul's coaching partner! Sadly, when we got home, they stopped over for drinks, Big wee one woke up crying, I checked on her and fell asleep next to her...nice hostess right?! Thankfully, our friends are understanding! It was a nice night out though :)
Day 73: Clothes...lots of 'em
My friend invited me to go to a "buying" show in Baltimore with her. I fell asleep semi-early the night before (see above) and was prepared for the time change (spring forward!). We had a nice day laughing, checking out the newest fall fashions for 2010 and eating tapas at a delicious restaurant on the way home!

Day 74: Chili Dinner
I love this committee. We work so well together prepping for the chili cook-off, held during IceFest. We have a blast and we love to get together when we can to chit chat and catch up on life. The chair for our committee and a wonderful person invited us over to her house for a home cooked meal...so delicious and the table was set so beautifully! I have great friends :)
Day 75: Hello Warmth!
It's about damn time...
Day 76: Park & Pictures
We headed to a great park we have in the area to take my brother's pictures. He did awesome and the girls loved playing on the train and train tracks. The weather is so perfect...maybe I should talk to Paul about moving some place that stays this temp. all year round :)
Day 77: Tired...
We can't take beautiful pictures all of the time. Paul is packing for his golf trip with his friends and I am literally laying on my bed just holding the camera up. I realized I had forgotten to take my picture of the day, so....say, "Cheese Paul!" hehe! He's not going to like this picture at all.
Day 78: Chambersburg
I was approached by our downtown partnership to do a photo session for some upcoming billboards that will be on display around Chambersburg, to help promote the downtown...thanks to my girlfriends for stepping up and my brother and the awesome guys from the coffee shop and my daughter. They all did great and we got some great pics out of the session! Anything for my downtown!
Day 79: She's 3!
We met at the park for her 3 year pictures, and she happens to be Little wee one's favorite friend! When she's sad, I'll say, "Why are you sad?" and she'll say, "I miss my friend little a." In the most pathetic pucker face ever. Don't they look so sweet?!
Awwww....feels good to be caught up :)

coming soon. :)
We've been enjoying the nice weather and zonking out at night!

Day 71: Gymnastics Fun

It's not very often we get to go out with the MOMS club anymore and since the girls didn't have school today, I took the opportunity to join some moms at a local gymnastics gym. Both of the girls had a BLAST! I'm pretty sure we'll be signing Big wee one up for Cheer-nastics and Little wee one will go into gymnastics. We finished the morning with lunch at McDonald's with our friends.

Day 70: Mushy

We've been awfully mushy and lovey lately...which is ok with me :)

Day 69: Scootin...

The sun is peeking out of the clouds and the weather was just right for hitching a ride with barbie on her scooter. Big wee one and Little wee one played outside for 3 hours and I must confess, this was the first day in a LONG time that they didn't want any tv. None. Not in the morning, not in the afternoon...not at all :) Feels good!

Day 68: New Business

Taking that next step is scary, but I'm gonna do it!

Day 67: Silly Straws

When you least expect it, you catch them doing something cute, like sharing chocolate milk that the big sister made. Now...if only they could stay this sweet for longer than 10 minutes!

Day 66: Toes

Today was a nice day. Spent some time with family celebrating Uncle Jay's birthday and then finished the day with these sweet little feet. Cute and cuddly!

Day 65: Girls Day

My mom and I hit the open road and headed to Pittsburg for Cousin Meloni's bridal shower. My mom looked beautiful and we had a ton of laughs! We haven't had a day together, just the two of us in a LONG time and it was nice to relax, laugh and talk.

Day 64: Mussels

Delicous! Good food, good friends. :) Recipe can be found here

Day 63: Hair did.

Done did it. After 15 weeks, my roots NEEDED it, BEGGED for it, PLEADED with me! So, I listened and got my roots done, my haircut, my eyebrows done and both of the girls had their hair cut as well. A long night, but my hair looks nice and refreshing!

LO: Week 7

LO: Week 6

Day 62: Retail Therapy

Does it really need anymore details? I got to spend some well deserved "mom" time with my mom (and the wee ones)...got some skinny jeans (finally catching up with the rest of the "hip" world), some destressed "boyfriend" kahkis, clothes for the girls and gifts for my cousin. Thanks for a wonderful day Mom :)

Day 61: There's No Place Like Home

I think it's sweet that she still likes to wear her size 2 dorothy costume. I think it's sweet that she still plays dress-up and wants to wear special "girly" shoes. I think it's sweet that she wants dance around the house and show me her moves...I don't think it's sweet that I signed her up for 2 "interviews" for kindergarten today. My little girl is getting bigger every day.

Day 60: Water Break.

One.of.those.days. I don't really know why I was having such an awful day, or why I was in such a bad mood, but I was. I wasn't hiding it either...I let everyone know who came my way, to just let me be. This though, the water running, the bubbles filling the tub, Paul sitting there just listening...that spells relief. Just a half an hour to myself, to vent to Paul and get it out. That's all a girl needs sometimes.

Day 59: Sweats.

This is how we've been rolling lately, in our sweats. Big wee one has had the same clothes on for three days, and Little wee one has changed her pants a couple of times, but we've all been chill-laxin in our lounge wear. Comfy & cozy on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
*picture taken by Big wee one*

Day 58: Coffee Break

I met my girlfriends for coffee this morning and stayed...all day. It was a nice needed break, good coffee, good laughs, wonderful friends and some computer time! There is a picture that goes here, my girlfriend has it on her camera and she's going to email it to me soon...so I'm saving it's spot :) *picture added* :)

Day 57: BOB

There is nothing like a delicious BOB sandwich...breakfast on a bun! Especially when we are stuck home, yet again, with another snow "storm" ie: high winds, blowing snow. Mmmmmmm...comfort foods :)

Day 56: The Fight.

First, you pull the pants on nice and high and then you put one arm in your shirt and get it stuck on your head. You pull it on and off and then get your head stuck. You finally realize you need your other arm in the other sleeve, push that through and get your head stuck again. WA-LAAA, you push your head through and you have your pj's on! So proud!

Day 55: Silly girls

I am pretty lucky that they love each other as much as they do. Even though about 20 minutes later they were arguing over a balloon, bumped heads and were crying. Love :)

Day 54: AVM

I had my yearly scans for my AVM check up. As you can see from the picture above, or if you can't tell, I modeled it for you :) My AVM is connected to the base of my tongue and can't be removed, just has to be watched. It's pretty big, but thankfully my neurosurgeon was able to shrink it a little 2 years ago, so that my airway wouldn't be so constricted...too bad I don't have before the shrinking pictures to see the difference. These scans are from yesterday and I pointed out my airway and my mass. If you look on the side that doesn't have the AVM that's what a "normal" mouth/tongue area would look like. Mine is consisted of a mass of veins that go through it...in the other picture you can see the big arse "snake" vein that feeds my AVM.
All is good and I don't have to go back for 2 years now :)

Day 53: Here we go again...

I'm cooking dinner, I look up and what do my wandering eyes do see? You guessed it...MORE SNOW! And apparently we are supposed to get hit with another storm by the end of the week. Please come soon spring!

Day 52: Explosion

From the moment the girls woke up (or actually I woke up...they had been awake a long time by then...he!) they played with playdough until way after lunch time. They made desserts, snakes, cakes, flowers, ice cream...all sorts of goodies. They even cleaned up their mess :) They love playdough!

Day 51: Night-boarding

Sledding while the sunsets is fun! Sledding anytime is fun! Big wee one and her friend Lil' D had a blast flying down the icy snow hill...and so did their sisters :)

Day 50: She Reads!

Once a month or so, the girls get a package of books in the mail from Cousin Meloni. This last box had a TON of "learn to read" books and dry erase boards and both of the girls tore into them! I sat down to read this book with BWO and she started to read it to me!!! I was so excited and she was so excited! Big girl is growing up!

Day 49: TV Supa-Star

Awhile back I ran into a local news reporter who had just had some samples from the winery and said she'd love to do a story on my dad. I figured she'd get ahold of me in the spring, but nope, I got a call yesterday morning asking if she could do the story today! I called my dad at the wine shop and set up the time for her to come in and met her there to watch my pops. He did great and I am so proud of all of the hard work he's put into this dream!

Week 5 LO

Day 48: Dentist

Little wee one had her first visit to the dentist today and she did awesome! She had x-rays done, got her teeth cleaned and counted and the dentist said that both of the girls did an amazing job! When we got home, both of them ran upstairs to brush their teeth with their new toothbrushes and floss!

Day 47: me

This is me. At the end of the day, looking tired and man...when did my hair get so long? I need a chin lift and I need to look more awake, but hey, we can't all be perfect...so this is me.

Day 46: A "normal" day

On any given day, I can walk into the play room and find this. A big giant barbie mess and the girls doing what the girls do :)

Day 45: Love Day!

Spent the day lounging on the couch with my cousin and the girls, watching movies, eating chocolates and talking wedding...my cousin's wedding.

Day 44: Game Night/Girl's Night

My cousin came in for the weekend and I invited some girlfriends over for wine, sushi and game night! Oh the laughs were endless this evening and so were the two rounds of sushi...I love these ladies and I'm so happy we all got to spend some time together!

Saturday, February 13, 2010

Day 43: She flies!

We spent 4 hours outside sledding down the hill, flying over that bump and having a TON of fun! We invited lots of friends over and had a blast. Big wee one had no fear flying in the tube!

Day 42: Family

This is us. Crazy Big wee one, Mommy, shy Little wee one and the Daddy. Hanging out in our bed, watching Hanna Montana. A nice relaxing evening as a family.

Day 41: It continues.

When I woke up this morning I took a picture outside the front door, around 8:30 am. Around noon, Little wee one took a peek outside and our flag was completely hidden. It has been snowing a lot!

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

Day 40: Sick Day

Big wee one woke up in the middle of the night crying that her ear hurt. It continued to hurt her in the morning so we made an appointment to see the dr. In the meantime, I made her breakfast in bed and made her oatmeal extra special by adding some love :)
We headed to the dr, waited for an hour and left with Big wee one having an ear infection and Little wee one having pneumonia! SURPRISE! Looks like we'll be laying low for the next few days, which is fine since we live in a snowtropolis and storm number 2 is starting right now!
